HISTORY OF THE HOUSE
EntreArcos has been built and renovated from a typical old family house in the historic center, within the walled area, in the genuine village of Vejer de la Frontera. The history of the house envelops us with its unique energy as it is a home that has been passed down from generation to generation until it reaches our hands.
The forged of the house, which have been partly restored, make up the sum of traditions, along with the most recent restoration that we have done with absolute care and respect for the original concept.
It is a 100% family project where the constructive part has been directed by two architects, brother and sister-in-law of the owners, and where all the aesthetics have been directed in a totally personal way by Pilar and Sinisa, creators of the project, Sinisa himself elaborating some of the furniture of the house with recycled wood and collected from the area.
None of the rooms of our Eco-Boutique House, after the renovation, is the same as another, giving our guests the possibility to live a different experience every time they visit us.
PHILOSOPHY
EntreArcos Casa Eco-Boutique arises from the desire to change towards a more conscious, respectful and sustainable tourism.
The concept of eco-boutique house is a link between respect for the local traditions of Vejer de la Frontera and the defense of sustainable habits in tourism. From the use of renewable energy, washing systems (using natural and Eco products), to the incorporation of bio-gourmet food from local growers in our breakfasts, oils and wines, and even the use of our bath products 100% Eco.
Staying at EntreArcos means being part of the local production, recharging energies in a space where silence and rest will accompany you throughout your trip.
The name of our house, EntreArcos, comes specifically from its special location. We are located within the walled area of the historic center of Vejer de la Frontera, between the Arco de la Villa and the Arco de la Segur, which give rise to our logo. Its special form, each one different, have consolidated the design of our A, the logo, which integrates the union of both aesthetics, as a total balance of concepts.
Our house is located in a protected area, built, in its day, within a defensive wall against the Iberians of the interior, and that today preserves the essence and the leisurely life that characterizes the white villages of Cadiz.
LOCATION
With a unique location, which was what first made Pilar and Sinisa fall in love, with its three exterior facades, which give it a special and unique interior light, and located just minutes from Plaza España and the main church, from the top floor of EntreArcos you can see the characteristic bell tower of Vejer, to the north, and the top of the mountain of Vejer, to the south, perceiving in the background, on the right horizon, the sea and the marshes of Barbate.
To facilitate our guests our location, EntreArcos is located 50 meters up from the Plaza de España, crossing the Arco de la Villa, and following the road to the church of Divino Salvador, from where you can see the walled area that culminates with the arch of La Segur as an exit.
